Welcome to Rutland Riding Club!

BRC Novice and Intermediate Winter Dressage Qualifiers: 5th October, Arena UK

Many thanks to everyone who represented the Club at Arena UK on Saturday. There were some good individual placings and the Intermediate Team was so nearly there with its 2nd place

Huge congratulations to Emily Lumb and Donna Melissa for their Novice 34 win. Subject to confirmation from BRC, Emily should be riding as an Individual at the Intermediate Championships at Bury Farm on Saturday, 25th April, 2020

Special thanks to Rosemary David for standing in as Team Manager, on the day, and to Deirdre Haynes, Chris Clarke and Sue Scarrott for acting as our volunteers. Without supplying volunteers we would not be allowed to enter Teams. So if you would like to get involved and support the Club, on your feet, by helping at future Area Qualifiers, please contact the Team Managers. We are always looking for more volunteers for all the Area competitions.

The full results are posted in the Results' section.

In order to rectify this, if you would like to book either individual tickets, pairs or groups, please let your members know that they can email Caroline Moore direct on: cmoorefbhs@gmail.com and she will personally deal with their ticket enquiry.

To make up for any inconvenience caused, tickets are now available for £20 and these are selling fast, so do get in touch as soon as possible!

I would be grateful if you could share this information with your members?  Many thanks and do call me should you have any queries on M: 07802 857154.

Third Party Liability Insurance

Recent tightening of rules regarding insurance liability have prompted the following clarification. Membership of Rutland Riding Club, or other BRC affiliated Clubs, provides the rider with third party liability insurance in the unfortunate event of an accident occuring at a training event or competition (provided that they are complying with BRC rules such as hat rules). It is a requirement that all competitors have third party liabilty insurance at the time of entry to our competitions and non-members should be able to provide evidence of their insurance.

Affiliated to British Riding Clubs

We are based in Rutland with around 100 senior members from a wide area stretching from Melton Mowbray to Peterborough, Stamford and Grantham. We run a busy programme of events each year with competitions in dressage, show jumping and combined training once a month and training is available in both disciplines for all abilities.

We also run Jumpcross and TREC clinics which have proved popular.  These events take place at various venues in the area, mentioned above, as we are not based in any one particular place.

The club is affiliated to British Riding Clubs and falls within Area 16. We are regularly represented at Riding Club Area Competitions with teams and individuals in the very wide choice of disciplines available. This has enabled us to send members to the Championships in most years with notable successes.

We are always happy to welcome new members, whatever their riding capability. For our non-riding members we regularly run social events.
