The British Eventing Charitable Foundation and the National Lottery support a Big Jump Forward for young volunteers
Thanks to funding from Big Lottery Awards for All grants, the British Eventing Charitable Foundation (BECF) is this summer launching the ‘Jump Forward’ programme to provide support and encouragement to young volunteers in the sport.
Open to 16 - 21 year olds, this free programme incorporates a three day course that aims to inspire and educate young people about the benefits of volunteering and will also offer valuable career advice and an opportunity to get ‘hands-on’ during the sessions. The course is split in to two days of classroom workshops followed by a practical day volunteering at a BE event and is for anyone who holds an interest in the sport or volunteering, even if they have little or no equestrian experience.

Affiliated to British Riding Clubs
We are based in Rutland with around 100 senior members from a wide area stretching from Melton Mowbray to Peterborough, Stamford and Grantham. We run a busy programme of events each year with competitions in dressage, show jumping and combined training once a month and training is available in both disciplines for all abilities.
We also run Jumpcross and TREC clinics which have proved popular. These events take place at various venues in the area, mentioned above, as we are not based in any one particular place.
The club is affiliated to British Riding Clubs and falls within Area 16. We are regularly represented at Riding Club Area Competitions with teams and individuals in the very wide choice of disciplines available. This has enabled us to send members to the Championships in most years with notable successes.
We are always happy to welcome new members, whatever their riding capability. For our non-riding members we regularly run social events.
