Congratulations to Bella Craven riding Coletto Boy at the 2023 Dressage to Music Qualifier BRC Area 16 on 25th June. They won the Senior Novice (with BD Points) Dressage to Music class and go forward to the Championships !! Rosemary David riding Royal Mail, acheived 2nd place in the Medium/Advanced Medium Dressage to Music Class - well done !
Very well done to the RRC Dressage Team ( Tamsyn Bushel with Ennischrome Morgan Gold, Annette Lumb with Rorie, Sarah Silman with Lucky Jim, Mel Bennett with Adlerfarn Z) who came 4th on Saturday at Arena UK in the BRC Area 16 Qualifiers for Dressage . Congratulations also to Kelly Hetherington, riding P7 with Britannia Rocks and Mel Bennett, riding N27 came 4th as an individuals.
BIG thank you to Bella Craven, Dee Haynes and Rosemary David for being volunteers - stewarding dressage and jumping and writing for dressage judge.
Jumping Training with 3 Day Event Rider Sarah Stretton
RRC has been offered three dates for BRC members to join a jumping clinic at Uffington Equestrian nr. Stamford. They have a 60m X 30m arena and a full set of competition show jumps. The instructor will be Sarah Stretton, she has evented to 5* level, has ridden at Burghley and Badminton and has her CC teaching diploma. She is happy to teach any level for either pole/ grid work or any height of course. Ideally we are looking at groups of three wishing to work at a similar height.
Dates are: Sunday 6th August; Tuesday 22nd August (pm could be early evening) and Saturday 23rd September. Cost will be £25.00 per rider. BRC Area 16 Training Opportunity for our members who ride XC
Saturday 19 August 2023 – Cath Cox XC Clinic
Winters Equestrian Cross Country, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, LN7 6JD
Groups of 4 (multiple groups will be accommodated if in demand) - £20 per rider – each session approximately 1 hour. Times to be released week commencing 14 August 2023.
Alex Batty, BRC Area 16 Training Officer, anticipates that this clinic will be popular, so places will only be secured when members have sent payment AND emailed myself to confirm their chosen height. Waiting lists for each height will be in place and spaces offered in order members are added to the lists.

The schedules of the BRC Area 16 Qualifiers for Dressage and ShowJumping are available on the website. These are on 8th & 9th July at Arena UK. We need to know if you are interested in taking part by this Wednesday 14 June so we can make the pre entries by 16 June.

URGENT - HELPERS NEEDED for
BRC AREA 16 NAF HORSE TRIALS QUALIFIER 2023 - SUNDAY 4th JUNE
Clare Bell is hoping to take part in this event and one of the conditions to compete is that the Club has to send volunteers to help. We have been put down for 2 fence judges so we need 2 volunteers please. If you can spare the time we would be very grateful and so would Clare !

NAF Combined Training Qualifier 2023
This Combined Training competition, on Sunday 26th March 2023 , is at Epworth, Lincs. We need to know if any members interested in competing by 1st March because by 4th March we need to complete the pre entries with Riding Clubs Office.
The Team Manager for this event is Jo Holmes-Cole - please contact her on 07758 295463 . Please also note the change in hat standards required for 2023 when taking part in ALL BRC competitions, including club events and training.
CANCELLATION OF OPEN ARENA EVENTING COMPETITION
It is with great regret that, due to a relatively low number of entries, the Club is cancelling the competition at Aylesford Equine on Sunday 26th February. All competitors will be refunded their entry fees, less the £1.50 booking fee which goes directly to myridinglife, asap this week.
We would like to thank all those riders who have supported this competition and sincerely apologise for disappointments caused by this cancellation.
